In case you would need to cancel, we kindly ask you to let us know as early as possible.

Two months prior the retreat, if we cannot collect your remaining payment, we won’t be able to confirm your participation to the retreat.

  • Pick up from Kumamoto Airport will be approximately 3pm (exact time will be confirmed well in advance).

On our last day, the shuttle bus will leave from the Ryokan at 10am.

When booking your flight out of the retreat, please be mindful that it will take approximately 1:30 hour to arrive to the airport.

For internal flights in japan, it is recommended to arrive to the airport 45minutes before your flight.

  • Indeed ! Please email us here and add your details.

  • The temperature will be warm, but you might like some light layers for mornings and evenings. June is the beginning of summer in Japan and can bring beautiful soft rain, which really brings nature alive. We are quite deep in the forest so the temperature is considerably lower than the cities.

  • This list will be updated as we approach the retreat !

We will provide mats so that you can travel light !

  • Two, multiple course meals a day are provided.

The retreat has a very refined restaurant using local, seasonal ingredients, which is a true luxury. Meal times are very long and the food is deeply nourishing.

Most food restrictions can be accommodated in advance. Unfortunately, like many other places in Japan the venue cannot accommodate strictly 100% vegan meals.
